Octagonal Type Ring Joint Gasket

BKG-1102 Ring joint Gaskets are machined from variety types of forged solid metal such as soft iron,ANSI304, ANSI316, ANSI321 metal or other alloy metal. They are designed for high pressure and temperature or high corrosive applications with suitable shape and material. Ring joint gaskets seal by an initial line contact or an edging action as the compressive forces are applied. The hardness of the ring should always be 30-40HB less than the Flanges hardness to prevent flange deformation.Dimension of standard ring joint gaskets and grooves are covering ASME B16.20 and API 6A, API 17D and ASME B16.5/B16.20.
BKG1102A R type Oval Ring Joint Gasket;
Ring joint gasket with oval cross section is initially developed for high temperature and pressure applications.It is still used in the old type round bottom groove today
BKG1102B R type Octagonal Ring Joint Gasket;
Ring joint gasket with Octagonal cross section is prefered by morden grooved flanges and has a higher sealing efficiency than oval types.
BKG1102C RX Ring Joint Gasket;
RX is used at pressures up to 15,000 psi (103 MPa). it is adhered to API 6A and interchangeable with standard Octagonal rings, it can take advantage of container fluid pressure well to effect a seal.
BKG1102D BX Ring Joint Gasket
All BX gaskets incorporate a pressure balance hole to ensure equalization of pressure which may be trapped in the grooves,it is only used in API 6BX flanges. BX is used at pressures up to 15,000 psi.
